![]() ![]() The mats are made for GG (Gossamer Gear) by Klymit. The Pacific ether mat was afwul and had me face down on the floor inside my hammock bug net more than once.įirst impressions were quite good. Narrow mats don't in my experience, they make hammocks 'tippy'. In the back of my mind, I'd also hoped it would work in a single layer hammock very well as a ground and hammock system. There were alternatives but the Airbeam was the widest airmat I could find, and also beat the weight of anything else I could find for the size and comfort. A nice and thick mat provides this comfort for me. I'm not a small guy and I rate sleeping comfort highly.Being a very warm sleeper, thick uninsulated airmats suit me perfectly almost year round. Wanting a new airmat to replace my old Pacific Outdoor ether airmat which suddenly became porous and would deflate completely overnight, I ordered one of these from Bob at Backpackinglight. Designed for maximum comfort at minimal weight. When the new For Sale forum opens on Thursday (12/03/15) all old threads will be gone and members will need to re-post their items following the new guidelines.Gossamer Gear launched a new range of uninsulated airmats recently. This will give the current sellers time to organize what they have before the current For Sale forum is removed. On Monday (11/30/15) the current For Sale forum will be closed so as not to permit any new threads to be created for 72 hours. You can obtain more information on the guidelines and changes HERE. The types of items to be sold on Hammock Forums will be limited along with limiting the number of items and threads a member can have open at any one time. While making these changes we are also setting up some new guidelines. The purposes of the changes are to make it easier for the seller, the buyer, and the Hammock Forums team to sell, buy and moderate. ![]() The goal is to allow sellers to Open, Close, Edit, and Move their own threads in the For Sale section only. The moderators and administrators have been working behind the scenes for a few weeks on revamping the For Sale forum to allow for more control by the members.
